I actually introduced Bowie to the BF tonight (he’d heard the name, but that was basically it). It was, to put it mildly, not his thing, but he did compliment Bowie by saying he was at least a better singer than Bob Dylan (another artist he didn’t know before me - it’s a good thing I don’t rank “music taste” very high in my list of boyfriend criteria).
Anyway, he’s nuts. Bowie rules.

John Carter’s fresh so far, though dropping fast. Will be seeing it on Thursday - what can I say, I’m a sucker for space fantasy.
Finally wrote the re-cap for Justified S03E07 - The Man Behind the Curtain. Just in time for tonight’s episode!

Weighed in on the hubbub here (parenthetically, am totally going to post actual content here again instead of using it as a glorified rss feed. I just got the writing bug again, and wordpress seems more suited for longer slabs of text. Though this one’s only, like, 2 paragraphs, so don’t be intimidated. )
My recap of JUSTIFIED S03E06 - When the Guns Come Out is finally up here.
Can’t wait until this finally gets here…

Really incisive article about the depiction of Margaret Thatcher and Marilyn Monroe in THE IRON LADY and MY WEEK WITH MARILYN - and how these two fascinating women have been let down.
